Religion as a Culture

Many people have a culture that is based around one religion. These people feel there is only one right cultlure and that other peoples cultures are wrong and evil. What is viewed as right or wrong in one person's culture could be viewed completely opposite for another's. An example of this is one culture's use for a dog is to have it as a family pet and another person's culture would say a dog would be used as food and nothing more.

Native Culture

The native culture has been largely influenced by the more dominant "western" culture. There are many problems within the native community because of these two cultures colliding. The reason for this is because Canada has these two cultures that do not have the same belief systems and therefore they clash. Another reason is because the western culture attempted to assimilate native canadians into their culture. They did this by abducting native children and inserting them into residential schools that taught "white" traditions and forbid native traditions and language.
